Ok, welcome to my little website about mystery shopping. The first post here on this lovely little blog will be about the mystery shopping company known as Trendsource.
Now, if you’ve never heard of mystery shopping, let me tell you a little bit about it. Basically, mystery shopping is a way companies evaluate their customer service. And how do they do that? By sending every day people to their stores as ‘secret’ mystery shoppers. These mystery shoppers then go back and report on their experiences.
One thing to keep in mind, if you want to mystery shop for McDonalds, you don’t go and apply to McDonalds. This company outsources their mystery shopping. So, what you’ll want to do is find the company they’ve outsourced to. And that might be a company such as Trendsource, a mystery shopping company.
Trendsource is one of the better mystery shopping companies out there. The pay is decent, and fast. They pay twice a month, as this article on Trendsource mystery shopping points out. (That site is a great resource by the way.)
What else is good about them? They’re big, which means they have lots of assignments. Actually, this could be considered a negative point for some people. Large companies don’t tend to have the higher paying assignments, but they often have more assignments. The real trick, if you want to get into mystery shopping, is to find the smaller companies in your area…The companies with specialized assignments that pay the most.
Trendsource does have grocery store mystery shopping assignments, which is useful for those who like to go out and buy groceries. (Uhhh…who doesn’t.)
Also, keep in mind, they might not have any jobs available for you at all…But that doesn’t mean they won’t in the future. Assignments are usually posted once a month, so once someone has taken them, they’re gone. That doesn’t mean you won’t get a phone call next month with a job offer, so don’t discount them immediately if they don’t have something right away.
